A very fine 1830s F. Amadio Regency Period Wheel Cased, Swan Neck Pediment Mahogany Barometer, original brass finial, nicely inlaid with seashell designs. Outstanding 10-inch silvered dial signed "F. Amadio No. 118 St John St. Rd., London." With thermometer.
Original finish, wood substantially in fine condition with one small section of laminate missing (see photos). Rubber stoppers inside barometer housing have dried out and need to be replaced for the barometer to function properly. (This is typical for barometers of this age.) Some modern screws inside where clamps have been replaced.
39 inches tall, about 11 3/4 inches wide at dial, 1 1/4 inches deep. Rear access door with original hinges, about 33 inches high.
