Antique Silk Embroidered Ancient Order of Foresters Silk Ceremonial Sash C 1880. Over 4 ft. long, folded over and stitched at the crossover point. Bright colors on red silk background with gold bullion tassel fringe. Features elaborate, exquisitely embroidered Foresters emblem and shield, crossed swords, globe, motto "Unity, Benevolence & Concord" in many different colors along with gold bullion and sequin star. Reverse embroidered with monogram J.W.
Excellent original condition, some deterioration of silk, not yet torn but fragile. Staining on one side of sash (see photos).
