MONUMENTAL 60S VINTAGE TRAMP FOLK PRISON ART MATCHSTICK BOAT SHIP

Large 1960s tramp art (possibly prison made) boat made entirely of used matchsticks. Hand made of thousands of individual matchsticks glued together on cardboard backing. Includes incredible detail such as hand made wire anchors and chains, lifeboat with oars, dozens of doors, windows and portholes, and functional rudder. The doors and windows are lined with red and green cord. Red and green cellophane was used to simulate colored doors and windows. (Many of these are torn).

27 inches long, 17 inches tall, 10 1/2 inches wide at widest point. Overall in very good condition, other than torn crepe paper doors and windows.
